Jesus my Forgiver - February 23rd, 1998

Preparing a Sermon in Germany
I have some bad news.  I can't seem to find my journal that covers December 1997 to April 1998.  When I locate it I will post some of those journal entries, but for now I need to move on.  I did find a separate journal that I wrote in while in my private prayer and Bible study times.  I will share some of those entries.

February 23rd, 1998 - Whenever there is something I say, think, or do wrong, I can always go to Jesus and He will forgive me.  He is just, merciful and forgiving in all areas.  Knowing this should not relax my christian walk but acts as something to teach me to avoid future sin.

"For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people.  It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope--the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good." - Titus 2:11-14

Jesus is my friend and always will be.  As long as I have Jesus, it does not matter what happens in my life, where I am, who I am with, what I say or do.   But if I ever grieve Him to the point of losing Him then I have lost everything, my very being. What could take me to that point?   Sin!  Avoid it at all costs.  By the grace of God I will never reach that point.  I hope that as time goes by I will grow further and further away from the world and closer to His wonderful refining Glory.

Read Proverbs 21:1 - 22:29

  1. I remember taking this picture. I was a very proud father and a fellow believer in our wonderful Lord and savior, Jesus. What an incredible journey He took us on.
