About Revival Journal

I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will meditate on all your works and consider all your mighty deeds. Your ways, O God, are holy. What god is so great as our God? (Psalms 77:11-13)

Brownsville Revival
In 1996 I visited the Brownsville Revival as a young man of 17 years old. It was in those first meetings that I met the Lord in such a real way that my life was forever changed.  The effects of those times are still making waves in my life and I am sure the lives of thousands of others.  Was it the building, the people, the leadership, me or you?  Although God uses people it was ultimately through His amazing grace and power that He used and changed so many at the Brownsville Revival and beyond.  I, like many of you are the lasting fruit of the Lord's real work.

Singing "Revival Revolution"

God's touch was just the beginning.  I served on the prayer team at the revival, witnessed down at the beach every Friday night (with many of you), attended the Brownsville Revival School of Ministry and ministered around the world through my Music Ministry and my parents ministry "Prepare the Way Ministries".  While traveling we saw Revival break out in many churches. We were always so amazed at how we could just stand back and watch God move.  We always knew the Lord would prepare hearts and change lives because His spirit was there.  All we had to do was deliver His word and he would do the rest.  He confirmed His word with many great things.

I thought it would be a good idea to share my story of what the Lord has done.  Not only to look back at what the Lord has done but to look forward knowing what He can do.  We are so blessed to be apart of what the Lord did at the Revival and we continue to be blessed by His continual work.

For me, explaining what revival is like to those who have never been apart of it is like trying to explain an amazing fragrance that they have never breathed.  I hope this blog will help explain the fragrance of true revival.

In the old testament the Lord always told his people; "Don't Forget" because we always do forget.  Many times they would pile up some rocks as a reminder.  This is my pile of rocks.  As I go through and read all the things the Lord has done I am still brought to tears and taken back in time to those days.  It makes me hunger for more of the Lord.  He is still moving.

I hope that by reading the posts made on this site the Lord will draw you closer to himself!

In His service,

Shane
